Class of 2010 Summer Risers
Tobias Harris – PF / #29 overall – Dix Hills (N.Y.) H.H. Hills West
DT's Breakdown: Made the biggest jump of any player rated in the Top 30. After addressing his conditioning he toned up his body and his game expanded. Turned in an all-american summer and had the gyms buzzing.
Schools Involved: Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, Connecticut, Kentucky Syracuse, Rutgers, Maryland, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Louisville, Tennessee, and Oklahoma.
DT's Breakdown: Almost under the radar, Desrosiers, a 6-foot-10, 205-pound big man, was dominant in Vegas. Hard working, skilled big man has legit size and went from prospect to player in the latter stages of his summer basketball journey.
Schools Involved: Wake Forest, Syracuse, Arizona State, Marquette, Stanford, Providence and Georgia Tech
DT's Breakdown: The son of a former college player, Lamb rocked the Peach Jam where his blowup came at the expense of regional mid-majors. A future Top 100 player, we love our late bloomers and he qualifies! Shooting is his forte, but he's not bad going to the rim either.
Schools Involved Kentucky, Texas, Marquette, Georgia, Clemson, Connecticut, Alabama and Xavier
DT's Breakdown: This one is on us because we didn't see him until the end of July. A Top 100 lock, Harrell has the grades, game and mindset to be a front tier player at
Virginia and help
Tony Bennett in a big way. In Orlando the 6-foot-3, 170-pound wing demanded the ball and showed an impressive offensive package.
Committed: Virginia
DT's Breakdown: It's tough to "stumble" across 6-10 guys but we did in Orlando. This guy averaged 2 points as a sophomore but toed the line with
Andre Drummond. He's our big man find of the summer like
Damontre Harris was last winter.
Schools Involved: Tennessee State, Drake, VCU, Middle Tennessee, Eastern Kentucky, Memphis and Oral Roberts
ED's Breakdown: Wasting little time, Gasser went from a mid-major offers to having ACC schools stopping in his gym at the It Takes 5ive Classic. He's known as a shooter, and he does that very well, but he's a tough kid that can get things done off the bounce too
Schools Involved: Arizona State, Northwestern, Maryland, Butler, Virginia, Creighton, Toledo, Saint Louis
ED's Breakdown: Throughout Crawford's time in Vegas, he hit big shots. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard was especially key down the stretch in the Super 64 where he buried deep jumpers in the semi-finals and then hit the dagger in the championship
Schools Involved: Memphis, Tennessee, Georgetown, Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Missouri and UTEP
ED's Breakdown: Not many times does a player you've barely heard of heading into the last few days of the period wind up a Top 10 PG. He's got great speed, strength and is electric in the open court. Busted a 40 point game in Arizona.
Schools Involved South Carolina, Clemson, Marquette, Auburn, USC and Miami
ED's Breakdown: The spring led to Jones' big summer push. He's steadily gotten better over the past four months and his game has matured. The 6-foot-8 face up four man has a unique game that allows him to get things done inside and out.
Schools Involved Oklahoma, Florida, Maryland, Connecticut, Arizona, North Carolina, USC, Kansas, Washington and UCLA
ED's Breakdown: A year ago the confidence, nor the product was there. Fast forward a year and you've got a possible Top 50 prospect that can affect the game on both ends. He toed the line with some players in Orlando and usually came out on top.
Schools Involved South Carolina, Wake Forest, Maryland, Florida and VCU
